That’s a Wrap… Day Two (Or Was It Officially Day One?)
Whatever the count, today was a good day. A great one, actually.
I slept in this morning—for the first time in what feels like forever. And by “slept in,” I mean 6:45 a.m. Yes, really. Usually I’m up before five, not because I want to be, but because my brain decides it’s time to start buzzing.
I spent the morning walking around the caravan park, just exploring. It’s such a beautiful place to be. I walked alone on the beach—healing, refreshed, alive—breathing in the salty air, letting the sun kiss my skin while the sound of the waves soothed my soul.
Tonight, I noticed a healthy glow on my face in the mirror. It made me smile.
Later, I took my mom for her slow stroll around the park. It’s important to make sure she gets a bit of movement and a chance to explore, too.
Lunch was a quick one-pot chicken noodle stir-fry—simple, tasty, and soul-satisfying.
We grabbed an ice cream while out and about—nothing fancy, just a small sweet joy in the day.
Back at the van, we’re still shifting things around, trying to find the right spot for everything. It’ll take a while to get it just right. But there’s no rush. No pressure. We have time now.
I don’t think I’ll write every single day from here on. Life out here is gentle and rhythmic, with the occasional surprise. Most days might look quite similar, and that’s perfectly fine with me.
This is my life for now:
No alarms in the morning.
No clock-watching.
We eat when we’re hungry, not when it’s “time.”
We breathe, we rest, we move gently.
We take each moment as it comes.
