Life happens while we are planning it!
Life Happens While We’re Busy Planning
It never fails to amaze me how life unfolds exactly as it’s meant to, even when I think I’m steering the wheel.
I’ve realised that my recent travels and visits all lined up perfectly so that, on this exact date, I would be here — in the same area as my previous workplace — just when they needed someone to step in while a colleague has her operation. Coincidence? I don’t think so. The higher power I call God has a far steadier hand than mine.
It’s another quiet reminder that I can plan all I want, but my life has already been mapped out in ways I can’t always see. And it’s not the first time this has happened — I could tell you many more stories of timing and grace, but those will come another day.
Still, I catch myself worrying. What happens when my camping days come to an end in December? Where will I go next? What will I do? I want to be close to both my daughters — yet that’s not possible — and I also crave my own quiet space. It’s a tangle of longings that doesn’t seem to have an easy answer.
But then I breathe. I remind myself that life has always worked itself out, even when I couldn’t see the path ahead. So perhaps the answer is simple: live in the moment, breathe it in fully, and trust that the next step will reveal itself, just as it always does.
The road always knows where to take me, even when I don’t.
